Mr Gerry Stewart
Vancouver Island membership chairman
Gerry Stewart is from Parksville, BC, and enjoying a well-earned retirement after a varied career that included five years in the military, 14 years technical work and finally 16 years in management positions.
Gerry and Judy have two children and four grandchildren. Judy writes Bible studies and leads home-groups, while Gerry enjoys working for his parish, St. Mary's in Nanoose Bay, BC where he is pastoral care coordinator and envelope secretary. Together, they enjoy the wonderful walking paths, parks and many day-trip destinations on Vancouver Island. Gerry derives pleasure from computer work, reading and gardening..
“I came to know Jesus as my Lord and Savoir in my mid-thirties,” Gerry recalls. “In 1977, I was confirmed with my daughter at St. James Anglican Church in Nanaimo - a spiritually moving experience for me. Jesus and the unchanged gospel, as given to us by the saints, are central to my life. I support the Anglican Network in Canada for its faithful stand on the unchanging authority of scripture and its commitment to Jesus Christ as 'the Way, the Truth and the Life'.“
