Mrs Victoria Huyer
Member of Blackburn Hamlet Community Church
Victoria has served as council member for the Diocese since 2012 and is currently chair of the Canons Committee and member of the Executive Committee. She is also a director of the Anglican Relief and Development Fund Canada and an active layperson in her home parish of Blackburn Hamlet Community Church (Ottawa, ON).
In addition, she is active in pastoral and youth ministry, having been a director of the Isaiah 40 Foundation since 2004 and Crosstalk Ministries since 2009. Her volunteer work with Crosstalk includes organizing and running a week-long residential camp for teenagers each summer to help them grow in their faith.
She holds a LL.B. and B.C.L. from McGill and a LL.M. from Queen's University. Called to the bar in 2004, she works at the Department of Justice Canada and lives in Ottawa with her husband and three young children.
