The Very Reverend Dr Archie Pell
Dean, Multicultural Ministries
Examining Chaplain for British Columbia
Archie has served as a priest in the Anglican Network in Canada since its inception as an ecclesial structure in November 2007 when ANiC consisted of two bishops, two priests and two parishes.
He was ordained in the Diocese of Huron (Deacon, 1967 and Priest, 1968) and, prior to joining ANiC, served for over 38 years in Toronto, Windsor, Hamilton, and Burlington (in Ontario) and in Vancouver, New Westminster, and Hope (in BC) in the Anglican Church of Canada. Prior to his resignation in 2010, he was rector of ANiC’s Church of the Resurrection, Hope, BC. He holds his doctorate in Pastoral Theology from Luther Seminary, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Currently, Archie is Honorary Priest Assistant at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Vancouver BC. In addition, he serves ANiC as Dean, Multicultural Ministries and as Examining Chaplain for BC. Archie also is an instructor in the Regent College (Vancouver, BC) Anglican Studies Program where he teaches Anglican Life: Polity and Liturgy. As a retired padre in the Canadian Forces, he serves as Chaplain, Royal United Services Institute, Vancouver BC and as Regimental Major for the 15th Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery in Vancouver.
Archie and his wife Caron live in New Westminster, BC. They have three adult children.
