  Diocese of Niagara (Ontario)

Three ANiC parishes, previously in the Diocese of Niagara, were taken to court by that diocese. They are:
St George’s Lowville (Burlington)
St Hilda’s (Oakville)
Church of the Good Shepherd (St Catharines)

St Peter’s (Hamilton) is not directly involved in the litigation but, by agreement with the diocese, currently remains in their church property.
Interim decisions by the court and arbitrators have resulted in various facility sharing arrangements with the diocese.

A negotiated settlement reached in December 2009 resulted in the congregation of St George’s (Lowville) completely relinquishing the use of its facility to the diocese, while the people of St Hilda’s (Oakville) and Good Shepherd (St Catharines) enjoy full use of their facilities – all pending the outcome of their trial.
