Anglican Essentials, Federation and Network announce changes in leadership and minor restructuring

Anglican Network in Canada restructures
As part of a reorganization, the Rev. Canon Charlie Masters assumes the position of National Director of Anglican Network in Canada effective July 15. Previously, Charlie served as National Director of Anglican Essentials Canada.
“We are thrilled to have Charlie join us as National Director,” says Network Moderator, Bishop Donald Harvey. “He is a man of uncommon integrity, humility and energy. He was a powerful unifying force within Essentials. Much of what Essentials accomplished over the past several years can be attributed to his drive and vision.”
Charlie's appointment is part of a reorganization of the Network's leadership structure. Bishop Don assumes chairmanship of the Board of Network, taking over the role previously filled by the Rev. George Sinclair. In addition, Cheryl Chang, previously Executive Director now moves to the Board.
“George and Cheryl, with their energy and drive, have done much to build Network into the national organization we are today,” says Bishop Don. “We are so grateful for their continuing leadership and participation on the Board.”

Anglican Essentials Federation changes
With the retirements of the Rev. Canon John Paul Westin, formerly Chair of the Federation Council and Executive Committee, and of Michael Edward, formerly Federation General Secretary, the Rev. Jennifer Wickham, formerly vice-chair, now assumes the role of acting Chair of the Federation until this fall at which time a permanent leader will be appointed.
“We are so grateful to John Paul and to Michael for the leadership and support they provided the Federation over the past years,” says Jennifer. “Although we will miss them terribly, especially their wisdom and grace, we want to assure them of our prayers as they continue to serve the church in other ways.”
Discussing the Federations future plans, Jennifer says, “We will now consult with our constituency to see how we can restructure to support our members in light of the decisions and direction of the Anglican Church of Canada's General Synod.” ministry of evangelism.
