Christian flag flies in Newfoundland during Holy Week

April 13-20, 2014
At the instigation of the Rev Howard Hynes and the people of St Stephen’s the Martyr, the cities of St John’s and Mount Pearl marked Christian Holy Week by raising the Christian flag at their city halls on April 14. The flag raising events focused attention on the largely unreported persecution of Christians worldwide.
