August 31 – September 3 (Monday – Thursday)

The 4th annual Vancouver Youth Leadership Conference (VYLC) is designed to build Christian disciples. Youth leaders will be trained by experienced teachers and equipped with:
- leadership skills
- Biblical strategies
- confidence in teaching the Bible

Who: Leaders and potential leaders. Minimum age is those going into grade 11, maximum age 99
When: 31 Aug – 3 Sept, Monday to Thursday, 9am - 5pm; ending after lunch on Thursday, 3 Sept
Where: St John’s Shaughnessy (Vancouver) – corner of Nanton & Granville
Cost: $90 (includes all materials, lunches and snacks)

Speakers
Rev David Short – Senior minister, St John’s Shaughnessy (Vancouver)
David is recognized all around the world as an excellent Bible teacher to both young and old. He was born in Africa, raised in Australia and has lived in Canada for over a decade. He is passionate about seeing people come to love Jesus and understand the Word of God.

Rev Graham Stanton – Principle of Youthworks Youth and Children’s Training College, Sydney, Australia – a college committed to training people to do Biblically based ministry to youth and children.
Graham is a graduate of Moore Theological College and has been involved in ministry for the past 15 years.

Ken Moser – Youth minister, St John’s Shaughnessy (Vancouver)
Ken is a youth ministry veteran who has been running youth groups for over 20 years. He has lectured in youth ministry in a number of bible colleges and is the author of several youth ministry books and resources.

Workshops
Workshop 1 – for 1st time attendees
If this is your first year at VYLC, your small group will be studying Biblical Theology (how the Bible fits together)

Workshop 2 – for 2nd year attendees
If this is your second year at VYLC, your small group will be studying Hermeneutics (how to interpret the Bible)

Workshop 3 – for 3rd year attendees
If this is your third year at VYLC, your small group will be studying Systematic Theology (doctrine)
