 The Reverend Allan Tan
Assistant Curate at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Vancouver BC
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He sensed a call to pastoral ministry at the age of 16 while leading para-church worship nights amongst ethnic minority churches in Winnipeg. He studied computer science and worked for six years before moving to Vancouver where he completed his Master of Divinity at Regent College. During his time at Regent, he served for two years as an Artizo intern at St. John's Richmond. He was ordained by Bishop Stephen Leung in 2016, and now serves as Assistant Curate at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Vancouver. He has particular interest in bridging across cultures and generations as a Chinese-Canadian in the body of Christ, and loves all things music-related.
