Synod Workshop Day speakers and information
When: Wednesday 25th October
Location: Crossroads Centre, 1295 North Service Rd, Burlington ON.
These workshops will be available twice throughout the day and you will have the opportunity to choose 2 out of the 7 when you register for Synod.
Workshop Options:
We are offering 7 different workshops. The first 5 are the Five Solas that will each equip and encourage you to have a meaningful conversation about the Gospel. The Sola will be explained; a "Gospel outline" based on that Sola will be shared; common objections to the Gospel in light of that Sola will be addressed; and there will be time for Q+A and exercises and practical pointers to equip and encourage you.

1. Sola Fide. I am saved by Faith alone. Speaker: The Rev'd Josh Wilton
2. Sola Gratia. I am saved by Grace alone. Speaker: Scott Hunt
3. Solus Christus. I am saved by Christ alone. Speaker: Rev'd Allan Tan

5. Soli Deo Gloria. To God alone be glory. Speaker: The Rev'd Marion Karasiuk

*Five Solas: The Five Solas are five Latin phrases (or slogans) that emerged from the Reformation intended to summarize the Reformers' basic theological principles. "Sola" is Latin meaning "alone" or "only".
