Background
A team of Anglican Essentials volunteers, lead by the Rev Dr Brett Cane, has been hard at work for nearly a year preparing our AEC activities at General Synod in Winnipeg, June 19-25 2007. Through our presence at General Synod, Anglican Essentials Canada is:

Calling the Anglican Church of Canada to embrace and live by its orthodox Christian heritage. |

Supporting delegates who share our commitment to historic, orthodox Anglican teaching and Christian theology. |
| • |
Helping all delegates clarify the issues and develop a consensus that is faithful to Scripture. |
What's at stake:
Delegates to General Synod are voting on a number of motions that may determine whether Canada will depart from historical Anglican teaching and thus choose to “walk apart” from the global Anglican Communion. While the motions generally centre on same sex blessing, the real underlying issues are the authority and integrity of Holy Scripture, the uniqueness and divinity of Jesus Christ, and the exclusiveness of redemption through the death, resurrection and life of Christ.

A full pre-Synod program open to all General Synod delegates on Monday, June 18 through Tuesday, June 19, including three presentations by key note speaker, Rev Dr Andrew Goddard from Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. |

Daily evening dessert rallies, from June 20-23, with worship, prayer, presentations and briefing sessions for delegates. |

Strategically positioned display table with literature and a “book of the day” available for purchase. |

Daily news sheet for distribution to all interested delegates each morning of General Synod. |

Media and technical information team. |

Internet café available as a service to all delegates. |
