On Advent Sunday, December 2, 2007, , Dr Ken Deeks and Gary Stobbs were ordained Deacons of Christ, ministering in the Church of God. The Rev Deeks and the Rev Stobbs will minister under the direction of the Rev Dr Archie Pell of the Church of the Resurrection in Hope, the first rector and parish to come under the jurisdiction of Bishop Don and Archbishop Venables. 22-23 November 2007 – Network holds pivotal conference ...
The Anglican Network in Canada held a historic national meeting on November 22-23 at Crossroads Christian Centre in Burlington, Ontario. The conference was presided over by Bishop Donald Harvey, now a bishop under Archbishop Gregory Venables of the Anglican Province of the Southern Cone. The conference dealt with the option now available to biblically-faithful Canadians who believe they can no longer remain in the Anglican Church of Canada but who wish to remain Anglican and in full communion with “the Church of England throughout the world”. See conference materials.

General Synod 2007 ...
Essentials volunteers and leaders were active at General Synod in Winnipeg, June 19-25. We supported delegates who brought orthodox, biblically-faithful views to bear in the debates on motions, offered a pre-Synod gathering, spearheaded a national prayer thrust, provided communications, and manned displays. Your prayer and support was greatly appreciated.

Youth leadership conference, August 28-31, 2007 ...
Strategic youth ministry training will be offered at a 3 1/2 day Vancouver Youth Leadership Conference. Speakers, David Short, Ken Moser and Steve Jeffery will provide Bible teaching and share strategies for creating a strong discipleship-based youth group. For more information and to register see: www.kickstartme.org

Clergy conference, February 27 - March 1, 2007 ...
The Network Clergy conference was a time of renewal for those who attended from across Canada and the U.S. Rev. John Guernsey's ministry on the topic “Lord, teach us to pray” was a tremendous blessing. Participants also enjoyed a report by the Network delegates who were in Tanzania while the Global South Primates met. Watch for future clergy (and spouse) conferences. They're becoming a Network tradition.
